Enlargement majority " has recently published an article in the newspaper OF SICILY 04.03.2008
entitled " CALATABIANO - ENLARGEMENT BUT MAJORITY OPPOSITION REJECTS ".
Below is the note of clarification of the Mayor.
The head of the City Administration has not requested any extension of the majority, nor the inclusion in the City Council some advice opposition.
During his meeting with the leader of the minority Natalucci Limina, agreed in advance with the same minority councilors present at the last session of the City Council, in turn, invited to participate, were addressed some important issues such as the drafting of the municipal budget estimates for 2008, the internal organization of employees with particular regard to the continuing need for some expertise external to the entity and still other issues to which Mayor Antonio Petralia, in line with the publicly stated on several occasions and that is that we can work together while maintaining a diversity of political position and, above all, following the explicit and repeated requests for greater involvement in decision-making executive, operated by the same minority councilors, thought he could start building a relationship convergence with all the members of the board on some issues of particular relevance to the community calatabianese.
Mayor Antonio Petralia said "S like to learn from a newspaper Vs version that appears to be distorted than the events actually took place and that the minority has stated that "there is no possibility of opening" because they are "in a position diametrically opposite." You do not understand why he would think, therefore, the minority leader of the Limina to present itself to the meeting with the Mayor, in "representation" of his group. Decline would have been enough just the first call, rather than exploit it, in retrospect, that incident, at which was tacked a friendly comparison based on mutual respect for political roles.
There is, finally, that the Chairman of the Pappas has never spoken of alleged "great difficulties in administration within the Council and on the Mayor added that to date have been recorded positions of the normal dialogue between the majority of city councilors, in some cases even totally opposed, but which did not involve no blocking or slowing down of administrative activity.
