A new objective of economic development:
is often referred to as the "City of the big names, this agglomeration of small shops with high reputation and appeal, if you sell fashionable clothes at prices reduced by 30 to 70%, technically called OUTLET Factory.
This would, in our case, of assistance for new construction of a shopping center which will occupy a surface of similar dimensions to that of current urban center, located below the railway, near the highway 114.
These are the numbers of project:
- Total area of \u200b\u200b21 hectares intervention
- Areas covered nearly six acres
- almost 4000 parking spaces.
These, however, the numbers are estimates of the employment impact, as shown by promoter:
- N. 160 employees for three years for the construction of the outlet;
- N. 600 employees for the commercial management of the settlement for about 120 years;
- N. 45 employees for service related to the management (guard, cleaning, maintenance, etc. ..)
Not bad, right?
To all this we must add more positive consequences:
- Revival of an entire business district;
- Improvement of municipal revenues;
- New infrastructure for the community, to be achieved necessarily better connect the outlet to the existing road and to be carried out to complement the urban context (eg, New City Hall, City Park).
I believe that our location, the geographical position, ease of access, due to the proximity of major axes of communication (not least the road linking the motorway to be completed in May Fiumefreddo) and proximity to the sea (coastal San Marco) and to important tourist destinations (Taormina), make Calatabiano the place more attractive from commercial point of view and therefore safer for a serious financial investment.
Its implementation will be a chimera, a hope or a great and necessary action for liability for an entire town council?
I really think it is the condition that this community wants to impose on the undersigned and all his collaborators.
